i have a 90 GS and need some info on what type motor 2 use. I was planing on going w/the B20 w/Type R head for a turbo set up. Is this a good setup? what would be the best setup any opions would be good.

Yeah much cheaper IMO then doing all that. And its very easy to find B18bs. But thats just our opinion...

Randyman on this board has a B20/Vtec I believe..I forgot which set up though..but I think thats what he had.

Good luck.

The B20 has very thin/weak sleeves, making it very limited for turbo use. If you're going with stock internals, just get a B18B. If you really want a 2.0L, resleeve the B18B or B20 (basically the same block with different stock sleeves).

Uhh calm down man...you dno't own the rights to that set up. Be happy that people are doing it too. If that was the case then the import community would never grow because no one would try anything new and try to build their cars faster.

we give and take and learn....that's why it's so fun..

if they can't "copy" your set up, then go to another car company that isn't so saturated...mebbe a MG or something

dude Ls motor is better turboing then a ls vtec? dude ls vtec turbo setup will be much more faster then a ls turbo setup!! i would go built b20 vtec turbo if you have the money..since you said you already want b20vtec turbo. Resleeve it with new pistons and rods. get a b16/itr head for better air flow..or gsr with different IM. Ls turbo is good but not the best, just because it has low c/r doesnt mean its the best...IMO..gsr turbo will be much faster then a ls? what makes a motor more better than other motors in turbo its sleeves? c/r? speend? longivity? please give me some info on it? thanks

Its cool man, it is a good motor but it'll cost you a big ass chunk of change to build it to be quick, cheap speed is Turbo LS motor, I'm going all out on my car though.
