My car is bone stock there is no modifications or enhancements on it.
I try to replace and maintain everything myself, and recently I replaced a timing belt on my 97 Integra, it's the base 1.8(no variable valve timing) and whenever I start my car in the cold it idles at 2000rpm? Whats up? After it warms up it falls down to the proper rpm. Is this something to do with the installation, timing or what? I have replaced this belt before and didn't have any problems. If you have any ideas let me know.
the warmer the engine, the lower the idle is. When startin ur car in the cold session, that mean ur engine is too cold, hence idle is high. It's normal and you have nothing to worry bout cuz it fall down to proper idle at proper temperature.
