Need some opinions of next purchase

Ok, update on the Teg, i got the car, has GC coilovers, Illumina Non-adjustables, SS (not sure on company yet, gonna take the boot off soon to see if i can tell), and just a universal Turbo-N1 APEXi muffler (sounds awesome too)

i got a header, CAI, helmet, strut bars, sway bar (rear), rear lower tie bar, and full front brake upgrade kit

i have about $2000-1500, what would u do?

i was thinking full cam job (cams, valves, springs, retainers)

and then an intake manifold and TB or a catback exhaust

already have a highflow-type cat.

need some opinions on what to do....

thanx,

Jay

PS-since my other post got locked, i need to know what's the best cat-back exhaust for a 4dr GSR '94, and it won't b the 1st mod as u can read, and i'm going NA/AM, i hope that's all the info

Your old post got locked because the general question you asked has been asked and answered 44,000,000 times before here.

If you first decide on where you want to improve Then you can decide what you may do next.

Do you want to improve your ride quality and handeling performance? I would, Koni yellow adjustables would be alot nicer. Hell a full coilover setup could be on the agenda.

OR, you could invest in a lightweight set of rims and a very sticky set of tires?

OR, you could go for an entire Well designed I/H&E allowing you to upgrade and actually get the full benefit from any agressive cams in the future.

Without proper I,H &E, hot cams will be a waste.

Without Tuning, Everything will Not perform to potential.

All the answers are out there, Including what the best catback for the 4Dr GSR is.

Determine which cams and engine power output before deciding on header and exhaust. OR you may be repurchasing said H&E when not satisfied with dyno results.

You must figure out the engine output will be when the cams are installed before you decide on a proper header and catback. Diameter of piping and design of the header depend on the power output.

I am here to help.

A.

What size is your Header collector? 2.5in? If so then get a carsound cat (or spoon cat if your JDM), and an apexi N1 Catback Exhaust. You need to let your engine breathe before you should really upgrade internals/valvetrain. What you want to do after that is up to you... Do you plan on a supercharger later on? Maybe a turbo? Stay N/A?

LOL hang in there A...don't let them drive you batty!

I definitely know where you are coming from man.

listen, InsnImprtGuy, there is no such thing as the "next" part to buy....it's all packages...you buy a part that fits in a package.

if you don't look at the whole unit first and see what parts attach to one another and how their designs affect one another, then the "next" part with the wrong design can actually lose you power and cancel out the gains from the other attached part. This can happen trust me...even though it is a hyped up new "next" part everyone else is getting.....

engine combination...the faster you get that concept, the more gains you will get....lose the "next" part newbie mentality.....
