im getting a 95 integra soon.
and wondering what my first mods should be, cai? cat back? chips ?..i have a pretty tight budget but am willing to spend if it will get me good power. gimmie some ideas..
you'll never make good power with bolt ons on a honda
unless its a k motor
a gsr motor with CAI, exhaust manifold, and a exhaust (all of that for about 1000 bucks or so) and for what maybe a 15 hp gain

yeah, you're right, but if you got a car why not help it breathe better...it does get pricy but it doesn't mean don't do it. i always think of those things as part of the bigger plan. but you are 100% correct by saying don't expect to gain superhorsepower from boltons
Well then do a bunch of reading on this forum. You have to decide on under 300whp or over 300whp (which will tell you if you need to build the bottom end). 300whp+ only if you're going to take it to the dragstrip...cause even that is too much power for the street on most setups.
You'll have to decide on the size of turbo you want to balance top end power, with the least lag. You'll have to decide on a turbo manifold style, or look at some mini-turbo-kits (Kits that have stuff like piping, wastegate, BOV, manifold)...stay away from turbo kits that already come with turbos like T3/T4 units.
You need to figure out what tuning options you have available to you in your area.
Enough to keep you busy for a while lol.

VTEC: Leave it to Honda to give you turbo lag without the turbo
1. Don't race on the street, first off, it is illegal and secondly it is dangerous to yourself and other drivers.
2. Instead of modifying your car, modify yourself first. Check out autocross events that are local to you. Look into Evolution Driving school; A few hundred bucks will go a lot further in the long run to improve your driving ability than any modification that you make to your car (Home)
3. Tires are one of the best ways to improve the overall performance of your car. Learning about what combinations of tire pressure to run in the front/rear is basically a "free" suspension mod and will make a significant difference in how your car behaves.

don't forget stickers from the companies of everything you buy as well, they must be put anywhere of your choosing and will add anywhere from 5-50 f&f hp depending on where you put them of course
