Mods: All stock, for now. Hooked up the stereo though.
Oh, and the 3100-3200rpm buzzing... heat shield maybe?
Timing belt replacement will run you about $400 with labor from a relatively inexpensive mechanic. Its not too tough to do if you are mechanically inclined- but it is due to be done at 90k miles (another thing you can use to get that price down). If you have it done at a stealership, it could run upwards of $750... so try to knock off a grand just for that.
I should also mention that its a good idea to replace the water pump and tensioner at the same time as doing the t-belt.

no i dont' think any integra is worth 6K anymore. 5 is the limit for me. i wouldn't even pay that much for a swapped 240. integra's are horribly over priced as a result of fast and the furious. Unless it's an uber clean gsr with under 70K miles i wouldn't pay that. Or a type r. and delearships will always rape you with prices. hell they want 7500 for 120K mile gsr's. fuck that noise. i'll save up and get a type S
In 2006 when I first got my teg, I paid around 8000 USD for it ($10k Canadian). Had 68,000 miles, never winter driven, driven by 50+ yr old man for most of its life. He included the stock rims and stock tires, and also the 17" Konigs and Yoko tires.
Consider the vehicle's history, and make a decision on how much the history and mileage is worth to you.

aha! so you do want one! yeah, i feel you on the over pricing thing, but i still think there are some still worth more than 6k. ones with low mileage, almost stock and not beat up are hard to find but are worth it. but hey, the 240 is the new civic, every one wants one so they can drift. so the prices on them boys will soon be ridiculous aswell.
yake all these possibilities back to the dealership and tell them what is said here. - all the labor and parts for everything to be fixed and call it a deal.. imo, you are better off finding another car with less issues or looks better... sounds like the most i would go on that car is about 3k considering all the work you are going to have to put into it... a car w 80k with a clutch that is slipping and the timing belt looks shitty sound like a car that has been abused and never been taken cared of mechanically for the regular maint.

not really. the drift scene blew up in 2003 and has pretty much leveled off. i don't see 240's ever approaching civic prices. if anything shit has gotten cheaper. sr swaps used to cost 6 grand now you can buy a 240 already swapped for about 4K. 240's are popular but will never get as popular as a civic. there alot more civic than their are 240s. not to mention to many fanboy's want fwd and vtec. not that the s-chassis doesn't have ricer fanboys. but the only 240's that go for 8K are stock s14-b's or heavily modded swapped 240's pushing 300+whp. hell you see high mileage mid 90's civic's going for 7K+. even our n/a vtec motors are cheaper than yours. the boosted factory nissan vtec motors are another story. it still costs 8K to do a kswap on pretty much all of the more popular civic chassis.
p.s. i never said i didn't want a honda. i said they are over priced as a result of f and f and ricers. ut i'm not paying a fortune for a used car that never did anything special to even be considered a collectors car

Hey, there will be a time when D15s will be the new flatheads. Just like the show quality flatheads that guys put $20k into N/A to make 180bhp lol.
Maybe in 25 years or so we'll see a new era at Barret-Jackson where the same stuff is happening, but instead of trying to find rare bone stock 6-pack roadrunners or bone stock Buick Wildcat Nailheads, or stock 440s, we'll be looking at bone stock B18C5s, and bone stock B18Bs in original paint and matching numbers Tegs heh heh ....
Yeah, don't spend that much espsially if the clutch is slipping and some features of the car do not work.
I got my GSR (granted with 175k and some minor rust) for 2500. Ran like a champ, has ever since, tranny was fine, everything works. You'll find a better deal.

yeah i guess your right. i dont know to much about the drift scene and nissan price range. i just thought it was on the rise because this guy in my tech class paid $13k for a s15 240sx with a silvia front end and some bbs's. its very clean, but its still got the stock ka with an automatic tranny. now that is rice price if i most say so. i've seen mint twin turbo 300's go for $8-9k, a much better choice i think.
its not a bad price but I would not pay more than 5500...its a car thats in demand
I am paying 6500 for a 03 civic with 100k on it...I think thats a decent price mines no vtec tho

I have bought it today. 5995$. Maybe overpriced. Maybe not. I made my choice. Great shape in general. Oh man, I haven't driven a stick for many years, allthough I was able to drive 300 miles back home without a single stall. I am starting to love the car.
Clutch never slipped, it was a wrong impression. I will take pictures tomorrow.
There is a coolant leak though somewhere. Smells like a little burnt oil/coolant. Taking it to the biggest honda dealer in town for inspection.
Also temperature gauge pretty much always stays around Cold mark. It barely ever moves to the middle, but only when the car sits for a little. I waited for raidator fans to turn on, after like 15 mins they did, and T-gauge was right below middle, but when I was going 70 mph all the way back it almost never moved much past "cold" mark.
Any ideas why would that be?
By the way, thanks for the previous posts.
