No more rattling windows

I just replaced the Lower Center Run Channels on both my doors with brand new pieces from Honda. I found the old ones at the bottom of my doors. Well, actually, I couldn't find the driver side one at all. Anyway, after getting them to fit just right, I glued the bottoms of the rubber channel.

My windows roll up and down like new, no more rattling whatsoever. No more "breaking-like" sounds when I shut the door with the windows down.

I know some of you had this problem, or have it now.

Just wanted to share that information.

thanks, i will look into that. I have the same problem and when i close the door it sounds like the window inside is about to shatter. Can i use the old ones if they are still inside the door?

you can use the old ones, but the piece is only $10 from Honda (Acura). helms says to use cemedine, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I used sealent from true value to glue them.

here's a tip for you: when you are pushing the run channel (rubber piece) up the center channel (metal piece), you'll notice that part of the rubber extends past the bottom of the channel itself and you can't push it up any further. To get around this, you'll have to hold the door panel (unless you want to take the power window switch pod off the panel) and roll the window down just a bit. Now part of the window will be IN the run channel itself. Now since the window and the run channel are alighned, you'll be able to push the rubber run channel all the way up. You'll know that it's on there right when the run channel and the center channel lined up perfectly at the bottom of the door. The rubber piece is a certain length for a reason. After you got it on perfectly, pull the bottom half off, put some sealent in the center channel, and push the run channel back on.
