nocking sound wen shiftin or releasing the clutch?

hey guys i dont know if there's somthin wrong w/ my tranny? first if i put it to first gear and my feet still on my break when i try to let go of the clutch just a little until i can feel it engage, i hear a little knockin or clicking sound infront under the driver side.. its more like in the drivers axel area.... and even if im drivin and even wen i upshift and release the clutch and step on the gas i hear the same sound.. not all the time but random.... one mechanic said its my tranny but i dont want to let em dismatle it and charge me 250 just for checking it.... oh.. i just replace my axel about 2 months ago.. but this sound has been goin on for 4 months now.. and it seems gettin worst...

same thing is happenin' to me rite now...it started exactly like that..now when i shift to 5 it makes a grindin noise...my shop says that my syncros are probably screwed and i'm gonna need a new tranny soon...

well... i dont hear any grinding... i know when it grinds especially when u downshift means syncro is bad... but for me that knockin clicking sounds gets annoyin its not loud though.. any one can help me?

Id guess the clutch, if its just one little click like there is probably some play in the springs in the clutch

i hear a click when releasing my clutch pedal sometimes as well. My tranny is new, the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder are new and not leaking....the system is bled properly, so i just assume its my clutch being gay making it do that. I hate my clutch.

push the clutch with the car off so u can hear and have a friend listen from under the hood and see where it is coming from. mine makes a goofy noise when i puch mine in and it is my master cylinder. it have been making this noise for just over a year and realy only does it when it is summer time and and start to make the noise after about 15min off driving. but it is deff. getting replaced this summer.
