obd2 workaround on 99 ls

Hey I searched a little and came up with this for way to keep the obd2 tegs from throwing a check engine light but Im looking for an easier way.
Removed my cat but..

On my 98 lude all I had to do was cut the backup power wire to the ecu and it keeps it from "learning" everytime i cut the car off. Is there a wire i can cut on the tegs as well? Reason I ask is because my friend just received his test pipe and we are installing it tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated

Test pipes = pollute like crazy, highly illegal, doesn't flow much/any better than a Carsound cat, at least in my state it's a $10,000 fine for not having a cat. Please don't use a test pipe. Why pollute and hurt all of us and run the risk of a huge fine for *maybe* one HP. :g

Basically because Ive felt the gains from one on another friend's GSR and i fell in love with this $35 mod. Maybe if I lived in LA where the air is a constant nasty dank ass brown all the time I would worry about it but Im pretty sure nobody will develop lung cancer where i live because of our test pipes.
I understand your point of view but its just not what I agree with, Id really like to know if theres an easier way to fool the obd2 ecu on your cars.

What about fines dood, you're gonna risk a $10k fine for a hp over a Carsound cat? But anyway, on eBay I've seen "O2 simulators" that I think tell computers that all is well, they're cheap too.

hehe... I am running a test pipe now too derek I think though with my setup I am "saving" at least 10whp from the stock cat. For NA, it has pretty minimal effects, you can pick up a free flowing cat to reap some benefits but they are pretty $$$. I'll get a nice 3" free flowing cat someday, but I am running out of cash now so its not high on my list. Plus my car is too low for a cop to see if I have a cat or not if I get pulled over.

honestly i dont know of a single person around here that has actually been fined for a test pipe. i guess its just not as big of a deal here like it is in other places....my friend with the LS needed the test pipe anyway because his car was throwing a code for the stock cat and he didnt want to spend the $$ for a high flow cat.

btw, do the o2 simulators actually work or are they shit like most other ebay garbage?
