i have a friend that has a 94 LS and was looking at getting a catback for her car, shes just doesnt have all the money in the world to spend, i went on ebay and saw what seemed to be the "double" of the greddy evo2 just made by obx. looks to be made perty well. anyone ever use an obx exhaust system before? think it'll make that bumble bee tone that makes your ears bleed everytime they take off?
I had an OBX with silencer in the past on a Civic that was supercharged, it was very deep and not too raspy until I REALLY got on it and vtec kicked in with the supercharger, but again I did not have a resonator on the exhaust either, it was removed and I had a hi flow cat with headers.
hmmm, well considering that this is a complete system with a resonator included hopefully it'll have that nice deep tone to it, i was just leaning twoards this system more because of its looks, ive always been a fan of the greddy exhausts for both their looks and sound, i installed one on my friends ls that i boosted and i liked it ever since, and i brought the greddy to her attention but like i said we dont have too much money to play with and i found "the next best thing" at least looks wise, hopefully it just sounds at least half as good as it looks
i would understand how you feeling cause i read what happened with your lsd, but i would also be worried about putting a cheaper brand brand into my car especially if its something as mechanical as an lsd since its a bitch to put on and off just in case if it doesnt work, so i understand where your coming from in that point of view, i'd be thinking the same thing if i was you, but here we have an exhaust, whats the most it can do? sound like shit right? if you dont like it, just jack up the car and unbolt it and sell it or put a silencer on it, but no matter what happens you wont be out of a car for a while, and again sorry to hear about your little incident, have you gotten your car back yet?
now im starting to feel kinda retarded, arent you the guy that put an obx lsd on his car and it broke like ten feet of moving the car? sorry if i got the wrong person

Yeah, thats me. In hindsight, I could have bought the whole JDM ITR tranny w/LSD for what I paid. I took a chance on the company due to many people telling me that they have had good experiences with the unit. I hopefully get it back tomorrow, maybe today if I'm lucky.
As far as the exhaust, yeah it cold sound like shit. It also could not fit right or rust out prematurely. With a system like that you could also lose/gain HP.

Damn man, I read that before and I still really feel your pain. Reminds me of my friend who crashed his JDM-front Type R (frontal impact) in an auto-x like 3 weeks after he got it on, except this wasn't your fault.
Also reminds me of a thread from last week. I told a guy OBX LSDs have bad quality and then somebody accused me of spreading misinformation and that if I myself hadn't used it it's just "hearsay"... even though the mechanic who's installing my LSD has done a couple and they have always needed a lot of custom work to fit right... Phantom grip?!?!

I agree with the above, u definately get what u pay for, i also wouldnt buy from that person because the post is for a cat-back system, but if u read the whole description he said the headers are only 199.99. which is he talking about

Damn, that sucks. How did he crash his ride autoX? Were we did it was an old airport. We had all the aspault you needed. I guess others aren't that lucky....
If anyone else gives you shit about how OBX sucks, direct them to my thread iin the parts reveiw section... that should tell them all.
The auto-x was actually held at a racetrack, but there's a nasty ditch not far from that area, plus it was raining and it was his first auto-x. I just auto-x'd with him a few weeks ago, it was his first time since then and he got 3rd/33 in novice so no he's not completely worthless, it's just a dangerous track and I haven't gone there since my first driving school. It's an infamous track and lots of people have crashed there, both auto-x and doing trackdays.
What's refreshing was his attitude... it obviously sucked major ass but he basically just said "it's part of the risk you take when you're racing" and didn't whine or complain or bitch about it, that I really admire and I doubt I'd be as positive. It's all back together now and gorgeous. Still can't touch the LS out on the course, but gorgeous nonetheless.
