Old car New Engine SWAP

Wondering if i could take the body of a 90 - 93 integra ls/gs and swap the engine with a 98 - 2000 type r engine, or would a 94 ls body be better. I prefer the cleaner look of the 90 - 93 model to those of the newer ones.
I could get a front end mod for the newer models but it would cost another $2500.

I was looking around and can get a 90 - 93 body in good condition for under $2000 or 94 body for $3,000 and a 98 type r engine for $7000 and the swap might cost about $1000-$3000 so total so far would be $10,000-$14,000 instead of getting a type r which run at $21,000 (canadian dollar).

Would it work? I'm new to all this would would appreciate some input

Or what would be the best engine and trans swap for under $7000 for the integra 90-93 model, and where can I get them. Canadian sites prefered if none then U.S sites.

IntegraTypeRice is on a distinguished road
If you're keeping the car forever, go for it. If you plan on selling it, think about resale value. The engine is worth more than the car itself.
If you plan on doing other modifications, you will probably end up spending more money than the actual price of the integra type r.

Keep in mind that the difference between the integra type r and the integra ls is not just the motor itself.

My engine in my 1990 Integra GS definately is more expensive than the car even modified. You can put in a type-r engine but the bitch of it will be is that the ITR transmission is hydraulic and I believe all of the 1990-1993 Integras have cable type transmissions, though the 92-93 Integra's may have come witha hydraulic transmission I'm not 100% sure on that though. However it can be done if you have the money, I don't know if hasport makes a cable to hydro conversion for the Integra though, I know they make one for the CRX but you should call hasport and see if they have a Hydro conversion kit for your 1990-1993 Integra. Personally if I was you and had the money I'd just put in a LS/VTEC CR/VTEC engine or B18C1/5 and use a B16 or B17 cable type transmission, you can always change the gear ratios with ATS final drive kits and the like. You need to do some more research and you should give hasport a call about the hydro transmission conversion. good luck with whatever you choose.

Where can I get engines?

Where can I get them engines? I'm looking for vtec or anything better than stock engines that wouldnt be too costly in install in a integra 1990-93 model.

Websites would be great. Canadian websites would be better. Toronto or GTA would be even more better. And some good sites where I can find some good mods, body kits, transmissions, etc. for good prices.

This would be much appreciated.

Been tring to google it but nothing.

Too many factors. Depends on how fast the shop can work, how much the engine and what not you want costs. You can price things on your own man.
