My engine in my 1990 Integra GS definately is more expensive than the car even modified. You can put in a type-r engine but the bitch of it will be is that the ITR transmission is hydraulic and I believe all of the 1990-1993 Integras have cable type transmissions, though the 92-93 Integra's may have come witha hydraulic transmission I'm not 100% sure on that though. However it can be done if you have the money, I don't know if hasport makes a cable to hydro conversion for the Integra though, I know they make one for the CRX but you should call hasport and see if they have a Hydro conversion kit for your 1990-1993 Integra. Personally if I was you and had the money I'd just put in a LS/VTEC CR/VTEC engine or B18C1/5 and use a B16 or B17 cable type transmission, you can always change the gear ratios with ATS final drive kits and the like. You need to do some more research and you should give hasport a call about the hydro transmission conversion.

good luck with whatever you choose.
