I'm going to purchase a gsr soon a found two that I really like. So help me choose which one is better. I'm kind of leaning towards the black gsr since it has leather seats but comes wit ugly rims. I also like black better but I might just choose the red one. Anyone knows the pros and cons of a 1996 compared to 1994? I think the 1996 has obdII and the 1994 has ob1. Is there anything else I need to know?
1996 GSR , black, 109529 miles, $9495 (price is negotiable)leather seats

i would take the red one. less mileage, and the cloth seats are grippier also the leather seats on older integras have a tendency to be worn.

Yeah I like the red one too but I think the black would look better if you just put some new gsr rims on it. I'll probably just buy the black one if the interior isn't all torn up and cracked. Then I'll just roll on some donuts until I get some new gsr rims. I suggest you do that!

Can you tell which one has been babied more, or which one has repair receipts? I've got a '96 almost identical to that one, leather and same rims (I like the rims much more than the '94 rims, but that's my opinion...).
If you're going to be doing a lot of upgrading, as in, you'll want a Hondata or other computer system, etc, go for the '94, 'cause OBDII's require extra harnesses and such.
Also, you don't have a location specified. If you're anywhere that's warm, a black car with black (I'm assuming) leather will be a virtual oven. My white GS-R with black leather is incredibly hot here in TX, and I've got the best tint on the market.
Just keep in mind that there are a lot of things to consider, other than what you brought up.
Good Luck,
Nick

White 1996 Integra GS-R w/black leather
Engine: (De-turbo'd)... Runs great, cold A/C, passes inspection, great gas mileage, couldn't be happier!
Audio: Pioneer Premier DEH-930 head unit, Focal Polykevlar components in front, MB Quart components in rear, JL Audio 500/1 class D sub amp, 3 JL 10W1's in custom JL enclosure, Brown Bread noise matting all around
Even though they are both GS-R's, a vehicle's insurance rating (on a scale of 1-30, where my Integra was a 22 when I bought it...) will go down about a point every other year after it's new.
Also, many insurance companies have higher premiums for "red" cars. I know it's pretty silly, but I don't make the rules.

Well I live in Washington. The state that basicallys rains all year long. It barely gets extremely hot over here, so having a black car isn't going the burn my a** during the summer. It seems that red cars tend to fade during the years. Also red cars are like a sign for "hey cops look at me!" so having a black car isn't all the bad.
Yes, the red tends to fade especially the difference between the metal and plastic on the bumpers.
And Black is Awesome, I am a big fan of black, My current R is NBP.
BUT, black scuffs and swirls and has hairlines in it ALOT easier and more visibly. There is nothing prettier than a well taken care of Just washed/waxed Black Teg though.
As a few others said; I'd take the "94 since it has almost the same mileage, is ODB1, has the cloth interior, is less expensive allowing for some immediate mods, And Hell, since I had a "94 once too.
Get some more clear descriptions of the car, Get into the cars and drive them. See how they both feel and handle. Remember that although We suggest the "94, you must keep in mind of the repair and maintenance records. Everything must be done and done well. Especially the timing belt. By that many miles on either car, you will be needing a new suspension, brakes, possible clutch and a few other small things as well as a nice full tune up or service.
I sold my "94 Ls, 2 years ago with some nice mods and a second set of rims, all the stock pieces, with 109,000 miles on it in Very Good condition with Every service dealer maintained and All the paperwork for: $7000.
Buy, which car is in better condition, was in better hands and ultimately, Whichever Car makes YOU happy!!!
you should also take into consideration who has been driving it? old lady, teen girl, teen guy? i would probably go for the black one, but you should really drive them both..whichever you like better and picture yourself in.
wow someone just ran a carfax for me and it turns out that the black car was a recovered theft vehicle. I'm going to ask the dealer what happened to it. Do you think it's okay to get a recovered theft vehicle. I think I can get the car for 6000 now since the car was broken into already. But I might just get the red anyway since it has a complete clean record.
Get the red one!! Of course drive both of them and find out who has owned it before and how it was treated, but think about it:
Less mileage in 2 more years (less mileage per year) for the red one. Might be the picture but the paint looks better IMO. Like another person said, it's OBDI, the extra wiring harness for Hondata is like $200! Plus, if you really hate the color and the cloth seats, you can get aftermarket or stock leather seats and a good paintjob with the remaining $1500. Of course, I would just make it faster, justify the cops' attention.....
