Order of Modifications?

I'm planning on doing some bolt-on modifications but I'm not sure which one I want to do first. Most people do the basic I/H/E, but in what order? (On a 97 Acura non-VTEC) If you think I should do something else before I/H/E, let me know. Thanks.

If you haven't already, i would lower it. I did exhaust on my car before I lowered it and it didn't look right.

how much does lowering a car help with handling and etc.? i don't care about how it looks. if it doesn't help me with performance, i'm not going to spend money on it.

Putting the right springs on your car most definately helps with handling performance. If your car feels really loose in the corners, some stiffer springs should solve some of those problems.

its up to you, most alot of people do it in the order i/h/e.

i went exhaust, intake, and header.........but they are all gone now in favor of a TURBO!

Intake, exhaust and header all sound like good places to start. I would probably start with the intake. Then here comes the debate, Exhaust or header? Well until you get both there is going to be some bottleneck of exhaust flow. A header will give you more gains then exhaust. You need both at sometime, so whichever you want to get first is up to you.

just put the money towards a turbo,instead of doing what most us on the board have done spend around 1000.00 on i/h/e that 1000.00 alone you could do a decent custom turbo kit

You can't put a turbo setup together with only 1000 bucks.

lowering costs TONS!!! u gotta buy springs, shocks, camber kit, (new wheels after u think u can ride without a camber kit) then some sway bars and strut bars because once u take a hard turn lowered... ur gonna wanna turn harder...

Lowering is only a fractional part of achieving better handling. Nothing gets more grip than a good set tires.

Your first mod should definitley be an intake,in my opinion. It's the least expensive of all the bolt-ons, the easiest to install (if youv'e never done much mechanical work on a car, installing an aftermarket intake isn't a very intimidating job to undertake, good way to get your handy dirty, so to speak), and you'll feel immediate power gains (with a cold air intake anyway, from my experience). It's just simply the most fundamental upgrade for any car. You'll definitley end up doing it eventually, so throw one in there, you'll love it!
