You'll need the ECU that corresponds to the head you got. I'm not familiar with the p28.

yes u can use the p28 ecu. but keep in mind that u have to get it chipped for a dohc vtec setup. like GunNam said, use the type of ecu that'll correspond to the type of vtec head u have. obd1 vtec head = obd1 ecu (p28 or p72). obd2 vtec head = obd2 ecu, and so on and so forth.

if u have an obd2, for example, and u want to use an obd1 ecu u can just purchase a "jumper" harness that'll convert ur existing ones to obd1's.

hth.

Well the p28 is for the 5th gen civic (si?) with vtec so I don't think it would be right for your setup.

I would think you would have to go with GSR ecu (p72 for OBD1) or something like that. I'm not really sure though. I don't know much about ls/vtec's. Sorry

If you have a GS-R head and using a GS-R intake manifold you need a p72 to get the secondary runners to work properly. Otherwise a P28 will work fine.

if ur vehicle is obd1 equipped just plug it in and ur all done...don't forget to wire up the vtec solenoid to the obd1 vtec ecu.
