pistons question

hey wasup everyione i currently have a 99gsr with i/h/e and lookin into gettin ctr cams..i heard upgrading to jdm type r pistons would increase a lot of power with the cams..how does pistons work and are the jdm pistons a good pair with the cams..is it as simple as installation and instant power or a lot of engine work and custom work to the engine for the pistons to work safely and correct? any help

well pistons are a pretty important part of your engine. I dont think that you will need to change your pistons for those cams, unless you dont mind ripping apart your engine. The power that you are talking about from pistons is from increased compression ratio, and those pistons will increase CR but not so much that its worth the labor. and no, its not a simple installation. Go here and play with some combinations
