PLEASE HELP !!!!

I need some help anybody. Today my car was driving fine then i was getting on the highway and when i hit 4800-5000 rpm my car started chuging, almost like i hit a rev limiter. It will not go over 5k rpm, i cant even rev my engine over 5k, and it does this in every gear. Can anyone please tell me whats going on or has anyone ever heard of this?
