Problem with Tranny!!!!!

i was revving about 5k rpm before shifting and didnt push my clutch pedal in all the way i got a grinding sound but i didnt force it in. i slowed down and then put it into gear but when i pushed my clutch pedal in i felt some pulsating grinding noises underneath my foot. i am able to shift upwards without any problems. The problem now is that every time i push my clutch pedal all the way down i get a spinning whining sound from my transmission and it does not matter what gear i am in. I am thinking it could be eaither my throw out bearing or my transmission. could anyone hear possibly take a guess at what might be my problem. thanks.

Is it possible that the car was making this noise BEFORE this incident? If you have noise only when pushing in the clutch, then it is probably the throw out bearing. The only problem is that I can see NO WAY for the throw out bearing to be affected by missing a shift. How loud and noticable is this sound anyway?

the sound is noticable only when i am in a really low gear. in 1st and 2nd you can definitely hear it loud as you go higher up the gears its not as noticeable. what happens if your throw out bearing goes bad? what can happen? could it be something else like a input shaft bearing?

If the throwout bearing seizes I suppose it would tear up the pressure plate and MAYBE the input shaft to the tranny. Does anyone know if our Integra's have a piliot bearing? If we do have one then I suppose it's possible that it could be causing the noise too. Either way however a missed shift shouldn't (couldn't) have caused either of those two to go bad.
