Exclamation problems..

hey what's up everyone? i'm new to this board anyway i have two problems with my car.. i have a 98 gsr.. i'm not much of an electrical expert so here goes.. i just bought a new pair of 9005s (modified them for my headlights) and it's not even two weeks that my driver side blew.. prior to this my driver side bulb blew too.. should i switch back to 9006s? what could be the problem?

also.. when i bought my car used back in january '02, already installed was this aftermarket alarm system.. it's gots the basics.. k-9 i think the brand is? whenever i would turn off my engine, my doors would automatically unlock.. now they don't.. and now when i go to disarm my alarm, my doors don't unlock as well .. they lock when i arm it.. but not whenever i try to disarm it :.. it was never like this before.. so i have to disarm it, then use my key to open the door.. if anyone has any solutions, please walk me by step by step, as i am not familiar with electrical stuff.. thanks for your help guys!

OK, First I would only buy lights designed for the car. Second, find out what the brand of alarm is on it. Contact the mfg and find out if there's a warranty.

ok are you trying to use 9005 bulbs in the 9006 sockets? if so do not do that those plugs arent designed to handle high beam bulbs...but if you arent doing that then i dunno
