Problems rolling driver window down

I have pwr windows. When I roll down my driver side, it starts to slow down, almost immediately, finally stops, about 1/3 the way down, even if I hold the switch. Let go, hit switch again, window rolls down like it should. Not that this is a huge problem, but this is not how it should work.

So, anyone have/had this problem, maybe know what it is??

This problem has been going on for over a year now... It is not constant, seems to be temp. dependent... Gets cold out, window, "sticks" more, but it is not completely reliable in that sense....

I was fearing someone would say that, Huh_Oh Shit!.....

why dont you try oiling the rails? Mine was doing the same, I took apart and put some oil, and works better now, its not completely gone, but goes up and down slower but goes down and up.

This is caused by changes in temp and weather conditions. What happens is the rubbers inthe sliders dry out and the friction causes the window to stick. I have the same problem. Really cheap fix is to go the local Canadian tire or what ever a pick up a can of spray silicon. Just make sure you stay away from WD40 because this will dry the rubbers out even worst. Hope this helps

Same here my driver's side window gets stuck halfway down but the passenger's side is fine. Where exactly are the spots I need to spray with silicone and how long is this solution? I want to find a long-term solution such as replacing the window motor or whatever if that's what will fix it because it is so damn frustrating to drive up to a toll booth and I can't even pay the fee for crossing the bridge because the window won't cooperate.
