pully kit vs. cam gears

which one would be best to get more hp? or would it be better to just get a new cam then get a cam gear?

camSHAFTS + camGEARS = good

to go along with the upgraded cams you would need some dyno time, and supporting mods that will let the full potential of the cams out.

dont waste your time with pulleys

If you go the pulley route, make sure you get matching engine colors!

If your on a budget you should go with the Pulleys, but if you got the money to hit the dyno and get the cam gears tuned I would say cam gears.

would a.e.m. be the best for aftermarket cams+cam gears?

Again it depends on your budget, i would go with something like Jun, Toda, Skunk 2. If you get Camshafts anything over a stage 1 you'll need Valvesprings and Retainers and that's where it starts to get expensive.

If you have done all the bolt ons then i would worry about cams, cam gears and the such. Save money get the cams and cam gears then dyno it. You should have header, intake, exhaust with full cat back and a bigger cat, intake manifold then go for the cams and camgears.

I was joking about the pulleys. They aren't even worth it if they were $50 for the kit. I'd probably buy preventive maintenance stuff over that anyday.

The gains (if any) aren't worth the trouble. Get the cams and can gears. But I wouldn't even go that route if you weren't already looking into some form of fuel upgrade to compliment it. Or else, its worthless to slap it on anyways.
