Question about Jdm Front

Hey guys, i been around the board lurking for answers to my questions for the pass years since I been registered. BUT I DID my searches and couldn't find anything on my question.

I'm about to pick up a JDM front from a friend for a good price.It includes :

Hood
Bumper
2x Fenders
Grill
Headlights
Hoodlatch w/ cable
Bumper support
and radiator support ( the T bar )

But my question is, is the T bar just a top bar? Because my friend only has the top part of the T. I always thought the T Bar for the radiator support actually looks like the T because it has the middle line going down the middle to hold the hood latch, am I right?. He doesn't have the bar in the middle for the T support. Can i still complete my conversion if I was to his conversion?

you will need that bar down the middle...it holds the latch
