Okay... It's the integra death rattle starting up. Can you guys tell me every place you know that rattles in the integra (if possible). It's an 00 ls and has started getting some bad rattles in the rear hatch area and I can't figure out what it is.
It sounds like glass rattling in the hatch, but I can't get it to do it by hand. It sounds like only when hitting several bumps really quick in the road causes it to do it. I've got misc. rattles and such, but want to know where they usually come from and how to fix them... just foam insulation or what???

i have rattles in the change carrier/ cig holder under the head unit. i dont think the left side of it has a bolt so it rattles against the bottom of the head unit when under 2k rpm. also i my glove compartment rattles in the same rpm range. it because i have the hasport mounts which cause alot of vibration but launching w/ no wheel hop makes up for it

anything with your a pillars on both driver/passenger side or head liner??? These things are rattling like CRAZY!! especially the rear view mirror area where it attaches to the headliner. I can't seem to figure out where it's coming from. If I put pressure on the mirror, nothing happens, if I put pressure on the sunroof slide, nothing happens, if I put pressure on the gap between the mirror sometimes it stops, sometimes it doesnt... wonder if there is a wire loose back there?
I have tons of paper wedges holding pressure on areas it's so ghetto. lol
Take the seats/trunk carpet/mat out. If the rattle stops, it's something to do with that. If it's still there, you'll hear it a lot better with that stuff out.

I have the interior out of my car for the time being and have gone through and taken most of the bolts/nuts out and put Lock-Tite on them and reinstalled them. It has gotten rid of a lot of rattles and squeeks.
With blue (medium) Loc-Tite it shouldn't be that hard to do.

That is the one I am using. Just enough to keep the nuts/bolts from backing off or vibrating and not strong enought to permanently keep them on. If you never want to take them off again you could JB Weld them on there..... man that would be a bitch to get back off.
Damn its like work...squeaks and rattles...basically check for anything lose bolts fasteners and clips. snug everything up, and test drive the car over bumpy roads or drop 2 tires off the edge of a road and go 10-20mph until you can hear the rattle and let someone else in the back try to find it. Personally I don't know why people worry about it so much my car rattles so fuckin bad its disgusting...but its delightful...damn near solid race mounts too much engine for a civic Si its a beautiful thing louder than hell but it does'nt bother me. I'd also check into things like the hatch struts and the rubber bumper stoppers for the rear hatch.

i couldnt agree with you more about that being a bitch. during my engine swap i was trying all i could to remove the nut on the rear t-mount. since i wasnt able to exam it, i dint notice it was tacked on the bottom. ended up snapping 2 extensions. lesson learned, if it aint moving, it aint moving
