Re-done exhaust, power gains?

Ok so today my lowered teg went over some railroad tracks and decided to break its own exhaust piping in half right behind the flex pipe. lol it was like driving with straight headers. So anyways i got new piping welded from the flex pipe to the stock muffler, which also replaced the resonator.

My questions are.., does this add any horsepower? Did i remove any bottlenecks in the stock LS piping? What inch piping do i have?

My butt dyno is useless,
-P

So you have no resonator?

Why didnt you ask the person who did the work?

The minimal amount of horsepower gained from exhaust work would probably not be noticed.

Im kind of confused. It kind of sounds like you got your shit replaced with the same thing. So, no horsepower.

BTW, I think horsepower-estimate threads get locked.

i think if you replace your stock exhaust with almost the exact same thing you will see no gains

Even if it were larger sized tubing, it wouldn't do much if it wasn't tuned for it. I'm not even gonna try and guess it because it probably won't even be correct. Plus I'll be, misleading you with information.

JAYMAN320 is an unknown quantity at this point
Think SYSTEM.....header ----> catalytic convertor ----> piping ---> muffler.

If all these are accomplished you should see gains. Header design, piping diameter, cat-back configuration all play an imoprtant role to gain HP. Only replacing an item will make liitle or no gains....Read more into this subject and hopefully youll find your answer.

T E A M - integra. net (no spaces) has a great article review on this and there are great sites that can be found on Yahoo

Good LUCK

Horsepower estimates are a no...and...well dude...it sounds like you got the average joe's muffler fix what some old guy would do to his caddie or lincoln. get an aftermarket exhaust such as RS*R, Skunk2, Thermal, something that replaces the from the catalytic converter back with 2.5in piping thats all stainless steel then you will gain HP and torque, but only minimal ammounts.
