heres a good newbie question...is there ne way to increase the amount of rpms u can safely rev 2?

Modifying the ECU is the only way to raise the rev limit. As for doign it safely, it depends how high you want to go...

thats what i meant, i understand that the ecu needs 2 b modified, just what do i have to do to make it safe? valves, springs, retainers?

better performance springs/retainters.. stronger cams. Theres no point in revving high if your cams arent making power in the high of rpm's..

you can reprogram your ECU to rev 500 rpms more and stay with your current valvetrain and its safe, just don't go over those 500 and it'll be ok

If you look at a dyno plot of a stock GSR you will see that it makes its peak power before the redline. Increasing your redline isn't going to help you because after your peak output the curve drops off. Your stock cams aren't meant to make power after the redline.
