The right swap?

I wanted to drop a bad engine on my 97 civic hx and have been trying to get some advise as to which is the better engine performance wise, so I was told that the best engine that could be put on my car is that of an integra gs-r, is this true? and what could be some better choices? could I swap it for an rsx engine?

no motor from any of the new generation hondas can fit in ur car....(2001+ civic, RSX, etc)

i would suggest the b18c1 (GS-R motor)....or if u want to spend a lot less money get the b16a2 (98-99 civic si)

Prices for the engine can be found at www.hmotorsonline.com
N/A stands for naturally aspirated. How much are you looking to spend?

Ok so what does NA do to a car? and as far as money for an engine, let's say about $1,000-$2,500.

naturally aspirated means that the engine is running with absolutly no forced induction what so ever.....(no turbo, no supercharger, no nitrous).....the engine is breathing normally in other words, there is nothing forcing air, or gases, to make it faster.....

if thats how much u are willing to spend then i say go for a B16a2, B20z, or B18B cause those are the only motors u can get for under $2500..

either of those motors will give u a significant jump in performence, but i would go for either the b20, or the b16 since those 2 give u the most bang for ur buck, and from what ive seem at the track up here in AK they usually run similar 1/4 times give or take .3 of a second....
