Question Rotten egg smell

My g2 teg has a very nice aroma coming from the exhaust, oh wait no it smells like rotten eggs. I've already replaced the oxygen sensor but that didn't help. I hear that sometimes a converter can cause this. I've also heard that the smell is normal in some cars, something to do with the sulpher content in cirtain brands of gasoline. I only have mobile 1 where I live. Does anyone else experiance this? Thanks
-Jake

It is the catalyst in the convertor reacting and smelling it all up.

Can I explain it? Nope.

Have I smelled it before? Yup, and usually on older cars or others where the convertor is about to go bad.

The most notrious car I can remember that just stunk of rotton eggs was the early to mid 80's Dodge and Plymouth K cars.

As per the sulpher content in the gas, I'm just not sure and would be interested in how accurate that information is.

I use Mobil and Sunoco all the time on like 5 different cars and I don't smell it BUT, I know just what you are talking about.

I've read various articles on the internet, not sure how credible the info is.

Replace your catalytic convertor and it should go away.

try some high grade like 110 or c16 that will clean out your old cat and should temporarly get rid of the smell.
