rpm #2

Hi all...guess I should post this in the integra forum too...I'm thinking of getting a swap...but wasn't sure which tranny to go with. If u guys can help me out....I'm trying to get an idea of what rpm I'll be running at approximately 80 mph for GSR/LS/ITR tranny (I've heard the Si will be reving at 4200!). I tried searching the web but most of the time it only gives the gear ratios...not the actual rpm at 80 which is my usual cruising speed (and I'm too poor right now to get a custom tranny with hybrid 5th gear...hmmm)...neway...thanx a lot for helping out!

At 80mph my LS is at 3650rpm or so. What engine swap are you getting?

thank you for ALL your help...especially greyteg!....made my day!

and White98LS....so far I just got the basics...99 Si head w/ CTR cams (stock valve train except ITR intake springs), skunk IM, STR gears, B20 w/ Arias 11.5 (now that I think about...I might have gotten jipped...got it from the guy who built my block but I can't seem to find any web site with Arias carrying the same compression...closest I've seen is 12.5....at least I was there to see him put it together to make sure I'm getting new pistons and not some POS....but oh well...it's already built...if you can call stock rods a built bottom end)....and lastly...I bought this tranny off another guy (no serial number what so ever...)...but it's hydro and it bolts on (not too bad for 400 at a time when I'm desperately low in cash)...it shifts fine w/out grind...but I still don't know if it's LS/GSR/B16 tranny without the serial number (I was told it was a GSR)...I think it's LS cuz at 80 I'm running mid-high 3K...neway...saving up some cash so I'm getting LSD...and maybe new tranny if someone is willing to buy my old one.

neway...have a great day guys...it's a beautiful sunday for a drive....maybe I'll see one of u guys on ortega highway!

If I were you I'd get an ITR tranny.... shorter gearing will really help esp. with a VTEC head, plus you'll get that LSD.
