Question S2000 Integra

I have been looking for a fast engine to go into my integra, you can probably guess what im about to say but a prelude enigne wouldnt seem right in an integra, instead i was wondering if the honda flagship (S2000) engine would fit into an integra. Please let me know what you think.

I highly doubt,

that it would fit or work without MAJOR and SERIOUS mechanical and structural modifications. Oh, and of course Loads of $$$MONEY$$$!!!!!

You could theoretically do anything with enough money and work and knowledge. But, why? There are a host of other good hybrid swaps available and tons of mods to be done that could compete and eclipse the S2000's performance.

A.

PS Lets see what Tuan says???

alright, if s2000 is a little far fetched what would be another good 4 cylinder swap?

yea the s2000imo is a waste, they really dont impress me . i drove one once and no torque at all . . . i was shifting up to red line and waited for something to happen ??/anything and nothing .
also you would prob have to convert it to rwd, i dont know if the motor will work right to convert it to fwd?
i dont know , no one is really doing it yet ,.
my friend got one and he's trying to figure out what to do with this brand new motor. ???

well the tranny on an S2000 is for rear wheel drive...........so unless there is ssome way to put like a prelude or integra tranny on it...........which i think is not very possible........there is no way to put that engine in any front wheel drive car unless u converted the car to rear wheel drive.... which also sounds like a bitch and too much money.....................

just get a b18c5...........if u want a stock powerful honda engine......

As nice as the idea is...it really doesn't make sense to put an engine from a $32,000 car into a 95 Integra, or any integra for that matter. It just doesn't do justice for the S.

s 2 k engines run for about $7500

(we havent even computed the labor & custom fabrication to actually place this type of process)

they are rear wheel driven cars, so putting it into your front drive car is going to take quite time and hassel...

of course, you'll be one of the rare ones to actually have a s 2 k in an integra...

sure its going to be really really pricey, but Top Secret had placed a Skyline engine into their Supra...so its possible, with the right people, and with a fat wallet

ps. granted the s 2 k has really low torque, as does all other honda/acura vehicles....its coz they are all high revving cars, when you are in the ideal powerband of peak performance, take hold of your seats...

peace

don't all the new honda motors spin in the opposite direction of the previous ones?? i think i read that in SCC. that might make this dream absolutely impossible.

rufus`` will become famous soon enough
take a look at an rsx engine bay. intake manifold sits up front, so keep it in the front, if you have 5 backwards gears, drop another 2 grand and turn that sucker around, and then drop another 10 for a custom transaxle, shiftlinkage, exhaust manifold, exhaust piping, custom intake, and other little nitpicky things that you would have to make yourself, then you might have a DC5 motor in a DC2. same kind of story goes with an s2k. if you want rwd, make the 10 a 20 and have full custom crap goin on in the way of bell housing clearance, differential clearance, as well as a new gas tank, and an elongated engine bay to fit a longitudinal engine into an engine bay designed for a transverse one. its a lot simpler and neeter to buy yourself an s2000. or you can buy an hachi roku and do that. saw an s2k swap into an AE86 the other day somewhere on the net... cant remember where tho....

There are all kinda crazy cars out there.

Ever head of a 20B drop in an AE86? Yap 3 rotor Turbo 600ps in a full custome AE86. 600ps in a 2000~2100lb car!? Go figure! I got a video clips of that thing. They did the "You see me now, You don't see me now" show! That thing is insanely FAST! I mean FAST I have seen all kinda crazy car, even a few 1000ps Skyline GTR in real life, but nothing really impress me as much as that 20B Turbo AE86.

There are also S2000 drop in E30 BMW 3 series, and there is a guy doing an S2000 drop in a Porsche 314 Roadster locally. Also, a B18C drop in Astin Mini, Vaxhuall 2.0L 245hp drop in a tube framed Mini.

It's a very interesting world out there.

Theoretically, couldn't you drop the F20C onto a FWD F tranny?
