When im driving at a high speed (40mph+) especially on freeway. When i try to shift to 4 or 5th gear, i can hear a grind noise and feel some resistance shifting into gear. Sometimes it wont go in and i either let off clutch and get back on it or i have to put some force into it and try to shift into gear.
I dont know what the problem is...how do i fix it?
Mods: Caddy is for sale, Rx7 is for sale to make way for the DA
yeha i was gonna say syncros too, but are you pushing the clutch ALL the way down? b/c that may be the likely problem. if not just start to double clutch

thanks guys
it's a pain in the ass
get someone else to do it
i got my syncros redone under warrenty : haha
i grinded into 5th gear at a higher rpm....
had no idea why it would do that, the car was like a year old
actually this relates to my current problem (although im leaning towards clutch master cylinder being bad cause it squeaks) but anyway... when my engine is cold ( i mean really during the winter when the temp is 50 or below) my shifting tends to feel very resistant and almost like its grinding but you don't hear that typical grinding sound when for example the clutch is not engaged. It is very hard to shift into first from a stop or slow speed and the situation does not improve until my car is completely warmed up... anybody with the same problem or have suggestions? Im gonna have the clutch master cylinder replaced in the next month by acura who did it last year and for some reason its been acting funny since they did it... go figure...

When was the last time you changed your tranny fluid? About time for me to change mine... already got 3 bottles of Honda MTF in the garage.
