Im thinking about selling my integra for a s2k. I drove my girlfriends moms 04 s2k and I think its miles ahead of the Integra. So basically I can get a s2k as long as I can sell my car and gather about 6K (I can save about 1K a month, or get a loan so its no biggie). What would all you recomend ? I have put years of work, blood, and swaet into the Teggy and would hate to see it go. But god damn, after driving a stock s2k I fell in love. Stock vs Stock the s2k handles as good as my Integra with over $1000 in suspension mods.
It sounds like you want it, so just get it if you're sure you can handle the financial responsibility. I drove my cousin's S2000 a couple years ago and loved it, made my Integra feel floppy and sedan-like. I've since done a lot more modifications (mainly suspension) and could likely still beat a stock S2000 in an autocross, but you're talking about a RWD 2-seat roadster vs. a FWD hatchback based on a Civic. They cannot really be compared and if you decide you want one, that's that. I don't have the money for one, if I did I might get one, but I will never sell my Integra and the S2000 can't carry 2 bikes or 4 people so it's out of the picture for now! Which is fine because I still love the teggy!

Your Girl Friend moms has a S2000 WOW what a dream.
Yeah dude, I was the one who conviced her to buy it. She orignally wanted a Miata or MR2 but as soon as she drove the s2k she bought it the same day. Its a near new 04 that only had 300 miles on it. I washed it today and was shocked, in 4000 miles she has got one dent in it, like 4 scratches and has curbed a rim. People like her should not be allowed to own anything but a 92 chevy lumina. She now wants to sell her legacy and get a STI. Talk about making me jealous, 2 of my favorite 30K cars, and she has bought one and has the means to buy another.
Think about your insurance and your priorities. There are a bunch of 2004 model cars that are YEARS ahead of the Integra. Its a nice car but lets face it......it came out in late 1993
Mods: cold air intake, headers, hi-flo cat, cat back exhaust, adjustable cam gears, full underdrive pulley set, short shifter, eibach sportline springs, kyb gr-2 shocks

And even then, the '94 Integra is pretty damn similar to the '90 Integra. I'm driving a 15-year-old design for the most part. Goddammit.

dayum son what does she do for a living, both of those cars are cars that i really love
She is a 2nd grade teacher, her husband died over a year ago and she got a bunch of money. She really doesnt know what she wants in a car so im around to make the best sugestions. she wanted a fast convertable so naturally I sugested the s2k over she was almost talked into buying a MR2 or a miata. Now she wants a fast winter car that can take her mind off the S when its in the garage for the winter, what more perfect than an STI. If I wasnt around she might be driving around in a slow ass mr2
damn im in the same shoes you are right now. i want to sell my gsr for a s2k but i just cant see it go, its like this, either a bad ass car with payments or keep my gsr that looks bad and drives fast as hell with a new motor with no car payments. and i just cant see it go. im in limbo. this sucks
