Sidemarker Question...
I just got my OEM Honda Sidemakers put on today. I was wondering on the wiring. In the land of JDM, do the sidemarkers stay on all the time when the parking lights are on? And blink too when you turn on your turn signal? Do the Sidemarkers blink with the rear tailight blinker or alternate? I heard that if you wire the sidemakers to stay on all the time, they tend to melt the wire?
Eh....not from what I've seen, from what I've seen JDM sidemarkers stay on with the headlights and what not...I wired mine up to come on with the tail lights, you know when the headlights aren't totally on just that first click.

I don't think they're supposed to blink ever...every car I've seen them on they just stay lit all the time when the lights are on. THey don't blink on the S2k i don't think and they come OEM on USDM S2k's 02-03's anyway i believe...not sure... I like em being on with the headlights and what not just looks good lit all the time.

Connect one wire to the power wire of the parking lights, and connect the other wire to the power wire of the turn signals. That's all there is to it. That way, they just become turning signals.

The side repeaters are definately not meant to stay illuminated with the headlights in any position, that's for sure. My Civic ones flash on & off at the same time that the indicators inside the headlights & taillights flash. & yes, they were on the car from the factory.
Here is proof:
The parking lights are on, yet the side repeater (or marker, if you will), is extunguished. Check the Forester behind the EG too.
