SKUNK 2 INTAKE MANIFOLD WITH AEM V2 ? - Honda Forum / Acura Forum

I HAVE A GSR.....I ALREADY HAVE A AEM V2 IN IT....PLANNING TO GET SKUNK 2 INTAKE MANIFOLD.....WILL IT FIT WITH THE V2...CUZ THE GSR INTAKE MANIFOLD BEND DOWN AND THE SKUNK 2 INTAKE MANIFOLD IS STRIAGHT LIKE THE LS AND TYPER MODEL....AHHHH SO CONFUSE...I NEED HELP !!!!!!!

you have to buy an ITR intake.

i already have a OEM LS intake assembly, if i were to upgrade to the ITR IM in my GSR would the LS intake also fit?

It will fit, but I wouldn't suggest it since the LS intake pipe is puny. EDIT: actually I'm not 100% sure it's big enough to fit around the TB opening, but it probably is (ITR TB isn't THAT much bigger than LS) and the piping shape/routing will fit just fine.

i have a gsr engine.....with the orginal gsr intake manifold with a aem v2....i'm planning to get a skunk 2 intake manifold......would there b a problem installing the skunk 2 im...cuz of the shape of it.......its not shape like the gsr im......

the intake will not fit. didnt someone already say that?

haha wtf is going on here.

ok, 95db8- yes, it'll fit. a lot of people do it that way, but you can pick up ITR arms all over the place (for mugen intakes, etc)

to the orig. poster...IT WILL NOT FIT. that is all.

i wanted to get a skunk2 IM myself but i was told that if i get it i would need a vtec controler also for it to work good on my gsr?..becuz of the timing??..wuts that all about..
would it still be worth gettin with out the contoller?

who ever told you that has some problems. You cant throw in CAMS WITHOUT TUNNING but you can throw on a skunk 2 intake manifold easily and run it with no problems at all. Just have to get an ls or a type r intake.

Btw Vtec controllers arent all that great themselves. If you are gonna tune it get more work done and go hondata.

Lets say I got a Edelbrock Victor X Intake Manifold on my GSR. Can I use a V2 intake?

NO! an intake designed for a gsr has that extra downward bend near the tb because of the gsr's lower tb position. switching to any single plenum manifold will place the tb at a higher position than stock.

can you run the V2's with just the short ram? that may be a solution if it can do it.
