smogged 4 months ago, now selling do i need to smog again?

i bought my integra 4 months ago, it was smogged before i bought it. i registered it and paid for 2006 tags. i am going to sell it now. do i need another smog? my tags dont expire til 2006! april

DMV gives you up to 3 months to sell a car after doing a smog without the need to resmog. Since being after 4 months you will need to smog the car unless the person purchasing it agrees that he will smog it himself. Anytime selling a car make sure you spell out the details of sale with the conditions of the sale were you and the buyer sign and date. THis will save a lot ot headache if things were to go wrong later.

I'M not sure about elsewhere, but in ny you get a sticker to put in your window for smog. it has a date on it. if i sell my car, and leave the sticker on, who is to know who actually took it in for inspection anyway? i would say if the date is good, your good to go.

So you sold it already or its still being for sale?

If its sold, then what the use of the post. If its not sold yet, then yes it will have to be smogged again. However, its to an agreement on behalf of you and the buyer on who wants to do the smog. Normally the seller does it because then the seller knows its trouble free in that area. Therefore the vehicle because more valuable than one without. Normally buyers steer clear of cars that are not smogged and can not pass smog.
