SOHC VTEC ECU, on a GSR,,,plz ans

pluging up a 93 SOHC VTEC ECU, into a 94 GSR.........with the check engine light come on?......

temp usage till his ecu returns....from being modified..

i saw one guy do that and it had a check engine light.

yes, u will get a check engine light -- unless the sohc vtec ecu is chipped for a dohc vtec engine.

i realized that the ecu needs no knock sensor..so i thouhgt the light wouldn't come on....anyways......


is it ssafe to drive with it for now?.....*couple of weeks the most*

yea you will get a check engine light.
i've seen this done before but it was a kid that had a 94 civic ex and he did a gsr swap but did not get the P72 gsr computer right away so he used the SOHC VTEC P28 ecu. it should be fine as long as you dont beat on it.

yeah also i hera that the single overhead doesnt have the output to activate the secondaries but if u are using a skunk intake mani u should be alright?
