Question Springs and/or coilovers?

Ok, I have read the tech on suspension. I need some opions about springs. I have H&R and yes they're rough for dialy driving. I have ended my autoX days. Being a college student sucks! I no longer have time for autoX anymore. OK, anyways. I need some springs that will give me a nice drop, about 1.7 front and 1.5 back. Is also has to be smooth for daily driving. I heard Neuspeed, intrax, and Eibach Pro-kit. I have KYB AGX's shocks too. So which spring with give the better ride quailty. What do you guy's think?

Btw: my H&R's sport are for sale. 80 bucks

whats the setting on your AGX's????
the h&r sport springs are one of the best riding springs out there if not the best.
you said you heard neuspeed springs have a good ride. well you can ask a lot of people on this board and they'll tell u that the h&r sport and neupseed sport springs are almost the same.
just my 2 cents.

TeG01, have you thought about Ground Control coilover sleeves? I have heard nothing but good things about them and they work well with KYB AGX's too.

Yeah, Neuspeed springs are made by H&R and IIRC the spring rates are the same too.

In my town, there's a lot of pot holes and rough roads. Agx settings are 2 in the front and 4 in the rear. I was thinking of ground controls, then again. I broke at the time being.

i think that explains everything right there. your springs are not really the problem your shocks are. the setting are way too stiff in my oppinion for street drving. go full soft on front and back and feel the difference.

I have kyb agx's and ground control coilovers. I like them a lot. They are nice and smooth on soft, and i love em for handling on stiff, but right now, im too lazy to look and find out this q. Is 4 in the front, softest? or hardest? im set on 1 right now. just a piece of advice to anybody with adjustable shocks/struts, Make sure you set the front the same as the other side, and the back the same as the other side. I had one guy mess with me and he turned on to 1 and the other to 4 ont he front. It was a very intersting ride until i figured out what waswrong.

1 is the softest setting and 4 is the stiffest.

i think most people would know that... j.k.

TeG01

how long have you had your agx's? to me AGXs are bleh, but no offense.... ive read previous posts here and there and maybe you should try softer settings with your ride. or it could be you need to swap out your whole suspension for some new ones---it could be from all that autoxing you do (too much stress on your chassy and suspension). what are your plans as for driving your car? mostly daily drive, some 1320 and some autoX ... or just for daily driving? i have never autoXed before yet my car's suspension setup is tweaked to hug curves... still i use my car for daily driving. anyways... the pro kit will give you a really low drop. as for neuspeed springs, you probably already know that the race versions give your cars stance a lower drop than that compared to the sport version or is it the other way around? why dont you save up some money and make the right investment that will last you awhile. it will save you lots of money in the long run. buy cheap stuff and youll get what you pay for... unless you can get your parts lower than retail then do that. my advice is, re-tweak your current setup and if still dissatisfied then, try neuspeed and invest in some koni yellows [expensive but worthy].
