Question stock Integra GSR motor power

Some kid was telling me that GSR's and older Civic SIR's came with a 1.8 Liter engine that put out around 150 ~ 160 HP.

I know there are B18 that only put out that much (single cam, non-VTEC, stock engines)
But did they come out of GSR's and SIR's?

Is this kid just trying to act cool by saying stuff he didn't know anything about or did he have his facts right?

Also if you had a choice is it worth it to go for a B18c when you can already get a B16a for around $1400, and what should I watch out for?

GSR (B18C1) pulls 170 HP stock at the flywheel not sure about SIR. I would say go for the B18C1...more displacement = more power.

rufus`` will become famous soon enough
you dont really know what you're getting if your buying it from just some kid. do a search on jdm engines on google and you will probably get better product for your money. plus, the engine will probably be JDM spec.

If you already got an engine, why through out some more money for another one. Unless you can get rid of the B16 and get the B18C. In this case... sure.
