I have a 94 integra rs with about 103,XXX miles. I was considering getting a jackson supercharger but i am worried that my engine may be too old. How much is installation on this type of supercharger? Is it really worth the 3000 bucks? Performance wise, would i be better off just doin an agressive cams/valve springs/retainers setup? Thanks for your help guys
first, to see what your engine gots, do a compression test
yes the supercharger can be worth it, and and the aggresive cams......will take more then what you said
you need to figure what you use this car for, what you want to do with it and can you do it. if you do some research you might find things that make you like one setup over the other.
personally i would go n/a but i dont have time to put everything together
i think you are better off just doing a swap personally!! And if you are worried about how many miles your engine has on it...my friend has an 89 mustang with a twin turbo on it...he rebuilt the engine after 256K and it now has 276K on the motor running LOW 11's in the quarter with stock internals!! both turbos running at 8psi:eek: He says he is just waiting for the motor to blow though

u r so wrong
my friend has a 00 SI with h/i/e and a test pipe and the super charger. he runs 14.2's. he didnt run no where near that without that supercharger. also he put it on himself. i love that supercharger its badass. it makes want 2 get it 4 my 95 gsr but i dont have the money 4 it. also its badass investment. a lot of pppl say ull b boost all teh time because its a supercharger. well those ppl r wrong. u dont boost all the time, just when u get on it. how do u when ur boosting? thats y u get a boost guage which will tell u when ur boosting. if ur not boosting then its just acts like a regular IM. i would say get the supercharger, doing a swap wont give the same amount of hp as would the supercharger.

Superchargers are good if that is about all the power you are looking for. A turbo would be better if you want to get more power because a supercharger there is no way of cooling the air. It just depends on how many horses you want in the long run. The miles aren't too big of a deal but you might have to start spending a lot of money on repairs. So you can eithier spend on repairs or on a new engine up to you. Decide what you want out of your car. If you are going to be happy with the power output of the supercharger go for it, if you are trying to go bigger I would suggest saving up for a race engine or go turbo.
