tech wrench Swap done, yet ran into some problems

Hey guys, I just finished dropping the engine into my teg....but heres the problem.

The idle is very rough, and the car doesnt enable me to rev past 4500rpm...what do you think is causing this?

This is what I have so far:
-97 b18b
-I used my existing engine harness and cut and soldered wires inorder to use the connectors
-OBD1 LS ecu
-Its not my o2 sensor, I just chnaged that
-NO CEL are being thown
-I tuned the idle screw located below the throttle lever and adjusted the idle screw according to spec

Thanks in advance, I hope someoe can help me

JC

Check your oil and coolant levels and then your distributor is morethan likely your problem you will need to take a look at the wavefrom shapes coming of the sensors with an oscilloscope.

even though i'm sure you did, i would check and double check that ecu wireing. cause wouldnt that be the only thing that would effect your rev limit? since your not throwing a CEL? and even if you were for that matter?
you sure the ecu was working?
just a few things to think about. doubting myself only cause of who i'm giving this info to.
good luck!
and btw, what happened to the b20/vtec idea?
hope everything works out.

I am using a OBD1 LS ecu, Can the PCV system be the one causing this?

The hoses are totally different when compared to a gs-r. DO I need to cap anything off? Do I need to place check-valves anywhere?

Does anyone have a hose diagram?

The pin outs are different when compared to OBD1 to OBD2 engine, of course.

So inorder to fix this I would have to buy a OBD2 wire loom/jumper harness and use a OBD2 engine harness and OBD2 non-vtec ECU, CORRECT?

Is there any other way around this? What do you think?

sounds like a distributor problem to me too. have u tried swapping distributors? i'm not too sure about the work that u've done with the harness. ur prolly better off getting either an ecu jumper from obd1-to-obd2, or get an obd 2 ls ecu and get a jumper for the obd 2 ecu.

if anything, have a friend with a teg come over and look at his/her hoses. diagrams in the manual are almost confusing especially with where each hose goes.

goodluck.

Is it just a b18b? Into an Integ? Or what exactly is the setup?

Word to that, brother Randy.

Definatly the distributor. Take the distributor off and see if you find and reddish-brown dust. This is a tell-tale sign that it's fried. I've had it happen to me before.... a couple times.

like Randyman stated earlier try purchasing a Skunk2 obd2 to OBD1 conversion kit,

my friend had a rough idle awhile back it was because his distributor coil was skipping gears ......or yours could be burnt

I doubt this will help, but if you still need an OBD2 LS ECU you can have mine in about 6 weeks hehe
