im having a problem with my tachometer. when i punch it the rpms go up but once vtec hits at about 5k or so the needle jumps to like 7k then it goes way past 9k. i happends in just about every gear. it would just start bouncing around. any help???

btw its a stock gsr gauge cluster. motor just has a cai

probably ur ignitor inside ur distrib.

some1 told me that it could be that but how can i check it. its a new ignitor. my last 1 fudged up and left me on the side of the freeway

i know u can check it with a voltmeter. I had the same problem with my teggy, and also my hatch, its a pain in the a$$ when u get stuck. go check it out, and keep me posted...
