Why not save up for a ported b16 head swap? And get a nice alpine head unit in that car quick.

Well, that'd be cool but the block has tons of miles on it. You don't think that'd be a problem? If I do that then I'd get a GSR transmission, which hopefully would bolt right up.

You really should get a b18c swap if your going all motor, if you want boost rebuild your current motor. Any b series tranny will bolt right up, provided its a hydro tranny and not a cable.

Yeah, I probably won't be doing anything major with turbo or anything. I've read a lot about LS/VTEC being unreliable and a B18c1 would probably be the best plan, although not the cheapest. What would I have to do exhaust-wise if I get a B18c1 and a Greddy Evo2 for a GSR (because the LS and GSR are different I guess). Would I just have to get a GSR catalytic converter?

Don't quote me, but I think the LS exhaust is the same as the GSR. The cats maybe different and the header is, but I think thats it. The piping shares the same routing under the car.
I wouldnt go with anything bigger than 2.5in. unless your doing a serious all motor build. I have Tanebe Racing medallion, and I like it but the Apexi WS is also a kick ass unit, quiet but loud when you want it to be.
And as for LS/VTEC, you can do it if you want, but why chance it. I'd rather have a reliable 170hp than an unreliable 170hp, and a swap is far simpler to do than an LS/VTEC.
They are expensive, that is the one downside to Honda motors, its totally gay, hence why I bought the GSR to begin with, but you will be happy with a B18c swap. The engine has potential, and the y80/s80 tranny is the epitome of what a gearbox should be if you ask me. You'll love it.
God, I want mine back, fuck you mother nature and rust for causing set-backs! Who knew doing something as simple as suspension would be so damn frustrating.

What kind of set backs? Is it just the LCA bolts that are freezing up? Why not just get new LCA's, bolts and not worry about it?

Everything in the rears, and I guess I have a leaky brake line in the front, even tho its brand new. argh. I have to tow it to a shop now because it has no brakes, I couldnt bleed them, the bleeder nuts in the rear were stuck in place.
Fuck this car is such a headache sometimes. Hopefully I'll get it towed this weekend and finished half way through next week.

Maybe your undercarriage won't be as corroded. Or maybe your brakes were touched since 1994. mine def. were not.
And make sure you have lots of tools, that holds me back a lot too, and a freind if need be.

I mean its easy to do and figure out. Its just if there is a lot of shit and rust is what makes it an issue.
