Tightening Negative on my Battery.

I know this didn't really have to be posted here in the Integra Forum... But some of you might have had the same problems... Anyways...

The Negative cable that connects to my battery is too loose. The nut/screw on it is tightened all the way, but yet it still wiggles a bit. Then once in a while it'll disconnect, so then I gotta freakin reset my clock and radio. Then I gotta let my car sit cuz the ECU gets reseted.

So. Is there a way to make the negative cable that connects to the battery tighter so this won't happen?

PS. I know this issue has been discussed before, but I never found a real exact answer. I got OBD-II in my Type R, so when the ECU gets reseted, do I really have let it idle for 5 mins, shut off the car, then turn it back on? Or can I just drive it right away, then the computer will learn the settings and junk along the way. Cuz sometimes I don't have time to just sit there for 5 mins.

Thanks.

or get some plyers and crimp that sucker til its tightened, if not you can put a screw between the terminal and the connector and tighten it. If not then just buy another one from like a radio shop or I believe best buy has one

I used a metal spacer around the battery terminal...It took care of the slack and I was able to tighten it.

A couple things that I tried:

-sheet metal bound to the terminal
-Metal O-ring I found at home depot...it worked wonders

Good Luck

I had same problem on my DA...then I whipped the tail out on my car really bad and I have no battery tiedown so the battery got shifted about 8inch's in the engine compartment...and it ripped the terminal off the wire...luckily the place that I had stopped and turned off the car before I noticed that was a gas station, I got a new one for a few bucks screwed it on and its perfect now.

Well, I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I'll look at it and see if there's gunk on it, then I'll let one of the techs at work clean it up for me... Ha.

Yeah I know, I gotta get a battery tie down or the track won't let me run...so watch this I'll drop all this money on this motor, and do all this work and get up to the track and not have a battery tie down. that would suck, I need to get one I know.
