Tires on an integra
Im looking at Rota Slipstream 15 inch rims with 205 tires but Im worried about fitment. Currently I have 195 tires on my car and don't know if the 205's will fit right.
Is what the rear looks like with the 195's and 14 inch rims on...would I need tolift it up a bit? Im currently lowered about 2.5 inches.
It looks like you currently have 195/65/14 (pretty "chunky" sidewall), so if you went to a 205/55/15, or 205/50/15 it should fit about the same as your current setup. The smaller the middle number, the shorter you're sidewall will be.

ya they are 195/65's....I hate the sidewall on them too =P Im just hoping that the wider wheel will tuck in, I may lift it up so the rear isn't tucked tho, my cars about a half of a pop can off the ground, and its hard to get out of the lip in my driveway (about 2 inches)
If you have been in the import scene, or even the wheel/tire market long enough then you would realize that the 205/50/15 size is rather popular and used quite a bit.
Although there may be some difference in tire dimensions, its not too much to throw anything off. You'll be fine with 205/50/15's.

You should really make an effort to understand them. I too was wondering what the markings on the tires mean. All I knew back then was they all fir on a certain size rim and the 195 or 205 meant the width of the tire.
A good start is Tire Rack's Tire Tech and the first thing that you should familiarrize yourself with is this page on Tire Rack's site.
Have fun and read up! Learning is cool when you apply it to you car!

Will I run into any problems if I'm using a 215/40 R17 tire on my 2000 GSR. Some guy is pushing really hard at this tire store to sell me this size, I used to have 205/40 R17 before on my rims. BTW my car is dropped with the wheels tucked in. Thanks

Not really. the middle number is a % of the 1st number so if you are going with a wider tire the side wall could be close to the same or even wider depending on how much wider you are going.
