i havent seen type-r headrers on a gsr but i have on other integra's. but i do knoe this though, all b-series motors have interchangable parts. so i am pretty sure the type-r headers should fit from whut i knoe.
94-99 GS-Rs had a different cat length and therefore a different header length than the ITR and LS. Are you talking about the USDM or JDM ITR header? The USDM one is a nasty cast-iron peice which is barely altered from the GS-R/LS basic design and is a huge waste of money. If someone gave one to me for free, I wouldn't even go through the trouble of installing it in place of a stock one.
The JDM one is indeed 4-1 steel and is much better-performing and lighter, and has a 2.5" collector which may or may not be too big for your application. IMO though, for the same price you should go DC, or JDM DC if you want that 2.5" collector.

for get that get an SMSP, Hytech or DTR header which is knock off of the Hytech the one and only header you will ever need jk but those header make power.......
any not stock is good dc sport is every popular but the 2.5 in dc sport 4-1 hangs too low if ya car is slammed say bai bai header and have dents on them from speed bumps......toda makes a nice 4-2-1 that hugs the motor.......jdm itr is bad ass i had this stock heat shield loks completely stock.........get an aftermarket side plate...and ya good to go........
True but I wouldn't say "every" not-stock header is better - my friend was given a Ractive header by his parents that had ports smaller than stock, and in SCC the Pacesetter header made less power than stock. Of course, you and I don't really consider these when talking performance anyway....

I've also got a jdm type r header on my gsr. Its fucken great. I doubt its gonna pass smog though. I had to get a custom cat so the collector would match up and it had to be measured. I'll find out come next year though, come smog time
