Type R Nonsense...

First off let me tell you all what Im doing and thank you for taking the time to check out my problems. My car which is a 1994 Integra LS. What im going to be doing throughout the month of December is do a JDM suspension swap from the Integra type r over in Japan. For the engine im going to be ordering correct me if im wrong the B18C3 which is the 96 - 97 type R engine in Japan. i wanted the 98spec one but im on a bit of a budget. do the whole interior with type r knick knacks.. lol. exterior will be 99 conversion all the way around with type r lip, skirts, and rear valences. and i will be sporting the wing. and all this laced with some itr wheels. please don't bash me, i really wanted an ITR but no one has any up here and if they do the motor or car has been raped to hell. basically i want a really clean integra type r knock that will make you do a double take if you saw it. this will be a daily drive and i will bring it to the track one in a while.

so here are some of my issues:

Coilovers, would i need ones for a Integra Type R. and if so does JDM and USDM differ? and do the conversions come with control arms or do i not need them for the conversion?

Axles, the USDM type r has 32mm axles where as the JDM has 36mm, correct me if im wrong. and did they make type r without abs, someone tried telling me there was non abs and abs axles?

for underdrive pulleys would i need them for the usdm type r?

Also i want to rock a stage 2 clutch, since it would be a daily driver i want something that would be good for traffic areas and city, so i was thinking the centerforce dual friction, has the full friction material on one side and the puc style on the other side. so i would get the street and track capabilities. now would i need this for a Type R Usdm? or JDM? if you got any other good brands i welcome any comments.

Same goes for the flywheel, also is it bad to use a lightweight flywheel. i mean they weigh in at 8 pounds or so, and the stock ones are like 25 pounds or so. i mean the flywheel is what helps keep the crank spin and since the flywheel was pretty heavy and had good momentum, now its a lot lighter and wont have as much momentum as before. if someone could clear this up for me and tell me if the USDM type r would be the same as the JDM 96 - 97 type r.

another thing was motor mounts are these standard for all integras? also whats better hasport mounts or doing like prothane inserts?

last thing is the exhaust, i was gonna do a Greddy Header, but lookin at their site they are offering nothing for the type r. is this because the gsr will fit? didn't know if all b series headers were alike... probably not. for a cat i was going to do a high flow, does anyone know of some good companies im looking for direct fit only. i am probably just going to grab a stock one from my work, they are really close to high flow you can see almost right through them. also would i need one for the type r over in the states? Now for the cat back would i need to finagel the bagel to try and make the cat fit to the cat back cause i assume i will need a catback for a 1994 LS correct? so maybe if got a universal cat and welded the type r flange on one side to bolt up to the collector and some LS flange on to the other side. that would work... would this mickey mouse system make my exhaust stick out to far, or to far in? also if you guys got any good feedback on some quiet sounding yet alright horsepower systems im all ears my friends.

well thats where i stand, i have been looking on here and all over the internet for answers but not really finding what im looking for. so this was my last option. basically all those parts i listed is it the same as the US type r. thats all. thank you all for taking the time to read my short novel. i will definately post pics before and after the transformation. thanks again

A lot of this stuff can be found with research, and the other questions your are asking are debatable. Example, exhaust, leave your OEM type R header, unless you are planning to seriously do an N/A build on the motor, the header is more than adequate, I have one on my GSR and it's great. Same with the clutch, it's a matter of opinion and same goes for your lighter flywheel, some like them, some don't, so just look around, do some research and you'll find most of the answers. BTW, motor parts you are going to want to get JDM stuff, but for the suspension, get something that is USDM since your car is a USDM LS, get some coilovers and sway bars and don't waste all the time and money on a real type R suspension when you could get an aftermarket one that is just as good or better for less money.
