or look in the owners manual and if u dont have that and the dealership wants to charge u money to give u code pull out the stereo
apartenly mine was changed 1 year after the car was bought and when they replaced the stereo they wrte the code on top of it,

Try taking your VIN to the dealership and seeing if they will give it to you for free...
If not, pull your stereo out and get the code off it, and take that to the dealer to get the code.
If your lucky, it will be writen in your owners manual, or in the glove box....

i have a 1998 integra as well and my radio code is inside my glovebox. when you open it, look on the left side of the box, and there should be a sticker that says code. if there isnt, do as everyone says, call the dealership, if they try to charge you, send me a message, i work in a garage in winston salem NC, i know i can get it for free.

Look at the last post in that thread.. You still need to pull your deck out, if the code isnt in the car somewhere (glovebox, etc). But its a way to get the code without having to call someone etc

just had the same problem, i went to the dealership w/ my vin to get the code and they tell me i have to pull the radio and get the serial number, then bring that number back to them
so i said screw you guys and put a block off plate there lol

If he really needs the code he need the VIN # and a # to any Acura dealer and they'll give him it... its happened before to my sisters boyfriends integra and thats what we did and along with mine but I found the card that had the code on it... If he cant provide a VIN # that seems kinda fishy

You guys are wrong. Why??? Because the code is not based on the VIN number, but the serial number fo the stereo. This is because stereo's can be interchanged and therefore a car with VIN x can have stereo A or stereo B. It can be a tape player or a CD player.
The only way is to have the serial number on the stereo to get the code. Honda & Acura keep records of the stereo's serial number to look it up.

If you had the time to take the stereo out, why didn't you just take the stereo to the dealership at the same time? Thje serial number is on the sticker on the stereo.
