i made a thread in the tunning and ecu fourms but just in case nobody saw it im just asking for help or any ideas on how to get a good tune outta a vafc on my friends gsr im sure alot of you dont tune with it and prolly have chiped ecu but for right now if anybody can help me out just starting with the basics that would be cool thanks and if my post dosent make much since read the other thread please
Dude, it's a TUNING (one "n", by the way) device... which means you're supposed to go to a dyno and actually tune it. Why would your friend buy a tuning device if he's not actually going to bother to REALLY tune with it?

you are supposed to tune it on a dyno. if thats not available you need at least a wideband or some type of logger to see whats going on.

Go to the dyno. If you don't have a person to tune your car yet, look around and see what peopel say about tuners and see their work and decide on one.
he bought a innovative wideband to tune with and i said refer to my other thread if anybody dident kno what i ment thanks for telling me nothing and wasting space

That's not a dyno is it? So how were we ALL wasting space by telling him to go to a dyno?
You're welcome.

anyways, regardless of what kind of electrical goodies you may have, they're ALL worthless unless you hook it up to a dyno. not butt dyno, not street tune, but DYNO with actual rollers.
i have a power fc and it tells me everything. but i still have to bust out the graph paper and plot the points manually and see the actual curve.
then take it to a dyno and clean it up, AND graph the lines. that way you don't just guess.
the vafc isn't going to do jack shit with a basic setup....

more important that wasted space is wasted time, so post the thread U want everyone to refer too so that u don't waste our time searching for your stupid ass post

...and then dismissing our advice as "nothing"... get to a fucking dyno
