Honestly?

Nothing.

It's mostly in your head, you can't feel a difference unless it is particularly Poor or lower grade or lower octane rated gas. You can't feel 1 point higher octane it's All marketing and sales. Your car does require a minimum octane rating to maintain optimum performance.

Although most gas is created equal I usually use Mobil super or Sunoco 94 since they are the 2 competing stations local to me. Prices are similar and the Sunoco 94 is usually only 2 cents higher than Mobil super.

If you want a poll then I'm sure you will get a host of answers and opinions and what every person uses local to them basically because it IS local.

I only drive out of my way for race gas but, thats $5. a gallon.

See what I mean?

This is really going nowhere.

How about we just list all the names of all of the gas stations and petrolium companies in the US/Canada and Abroad? That would be even more helpful.

False statement!

I use good old regular 87 octane from Mobil.
