What Engine Swap?

Hey! I'm in the process of buying a turbo, or a GSR or Type-R engine. What should I purchase? Right now I have a 95 B18 non-vtech and I want some serious hp. I've looked into turbo kits, but should I put that off and buy an engine and turbo later? I guess JG Engine Dynamics has a B18C5 that'll put down like 315bhp, but is it worth the price? Or, should I just build my own engine? Let me know what you think. Either way, I'm gonna turbo whatever I have, I just want some power to beat these 5.0 mustangs in town that think they're all that. Thanks!

if you can get a Type R motor, get one...might as well start fast and get faster from there...right?

if you want to build a turbo motor your at a good starting point with the b18b.....just turbo that, a b18b turbo will be a whole lot faster than a b18c motor without mods. tune it right, get maybe a thinner headgasket...crank the boost up to 10-12psi and have fun. I'd stick with your current motor.

PS. its VTEC not vtech. vtech makes shitty portable phones for your house...

try selling the ls motor and see if you can get a gsr motor and ecu.you should get good money for it if you sell it to the right person. Then put a little more in and buy the gsr motor.

Turbo the B18b... it was meant for boost, and it has held up to 20 psi with stock intenals... if u really want a V8 killer do ls/vtec and then turbo that...

It really depends on your budget, consider all of the options that you have. You could make some serious power with a built b18b and a turbo running at 12psi. Just think about your options and whatever you decide to do, do it right.

instead of getting the b18c5 y don't u just go for a h22a? it will cost you half the price and from wat i've heard handling of the integra won't change with the h22a in it...

id rather spend the money get b18c5 factory mounting, u don't have to mix and match parts, when you have that option why not use it, even with the cost.

thats what i would do. i mean you have mostly everything. there is no point in getting another motor. just slap a vtec head on the ls block (i know is not as easy as it sounds) and slap a turbo on that mofo.
