What I need to replace valve cover?

What do I need to replace the valve cover on my B18C1? I know I need a new valve cover gasket, and some Hondabond, but is there anything else like any other gaskets or seals, etc., that need/should be replaced?

You do NOT want to snap those studs... and it's not very hard to do either from what I've heard.

Okay, I went to the dealer today, and picked up a valve cover gasket and 4 new seal/gasket things (recommended for changing the valve cover - not sure what these are but I guess I'll find out when I pull it off). Also got some hondabond (pretty expensive). I do NOT have a torque wrench though, and it seems wise that I go invest in one...since lots of other things need correct torquing...anyone know how much these retail for? Am I looking for anything specific? And does anyone know the torque amounts for the bolts (or where to find them)?

i bought my wrench used off of www.craigslist.org , your area might have its own section in there too. but i doubt you spend more than 70 bucks on a new one at Sears or an autoparts store, its a very good investment. and as for the torque specs, you can search this forum and find them, thats what i did

how much did you pay for your hondabond? i paid only 15 shipped (10 plus 5 shipping) from the dealership, didnt seem so pricey considering how little you need, so even the little tube should last a good while as long as you follow the directions and remove all the air, and always use the cap (which is how i dried up my last tube after only one use)

Yeah the Hondabond was around $15, maybe a lil less, from the Acura dealership. I will probably rent a torque wrench from autozone or something for this, and buy one later.

could've bought permatex for valve covers and it would've been 10 dollars less.

I bought my dad a Craftman adjustable torque wrench for xmas for around $65. It's pretty cool and easy to use. I think it's worth the money.

Torque wrenches are something you don't want to go cheaply on, cheap ones are cheap for a reason, I wouldn't trust them and there's a reason shops don't either. I'd shoot for something in the $50-100 range for good accuracy.
