hi everyone, i just recently bought a 91 integra ls. the car was basically stock, except for having a bad tranny. i had an XSi tranny so i put it in (YS1).the swap was good, no grinds or anything. my problem is that having finished the swap it pulled to a certain extent. i know not to expect to much from it, and i dont beat on it. however, now it pulls alot less and i think its getting worst as i drive it. no funny noises, plumes of smoke, leaks none of that. the car sounds like it will need an axle, and will need a timing belt(its stretched), and a new head gasket. think that has this effect on it ? any help would be appreciated.
PS>>the car has the stock motor still.
thanks in advance guys
nope, not yet. trying to see if i get a general consensus to the problem, maybe sumone else had a similar problem. i did a search and got nothing. yeah, your first answer kind of confused me, lol. thanks still .

That's what it sounded like from his posts. Do the revs just shoot up and the car goes nowhere? That is a bad clutch.... which should have been changed/inspected while the tranny was out!
no, it has a new clutch, and a resurfaced flywheel.
today i replaced the timing belt, and valve cover gasket. but still, whenever i hit the throttle, it doesnt seem like it wants to go. the throttle response is next to none now. when i hit the gas, the response is so delayed..
help guys!!

could it be that the car is running on "safe mode"? dont know what this is, but ive heard about it, and it sounds similar. also can the fact that im running a pr3 ecu on a stock pr4 ls motor have something to do with this? like will it affect the knock sensor or sumthing? (what exactly IS a knock sensor, and what does it do?) thanks again everyone.
correct me if im wrong, but are the only timing marks on the actual cam gears? in other words, are there any on any other parts? like the other gears the timing belt is attached to?
