I have been out of the import scene for few years, since I sold my Civic. Now I am thinking about getting back into it, I've been looking for a car and I think I found what I want but.... I want to know if it is worth what he's asking, I know you couldn't build it for that but you don't usually get back what you put into a car. Would a be able to sell it for the same amount or close in a year or two if it was still in as good of shape? Here is a pic and a list of some of the mods.
He is asking $16,000 Canadian for it.
details-
its a 1997 acura integra "rs" aniversary edition
244,xxx kms on body
Mods: AEM v2 cai, jdm type-r header, 2.5" cat, apex-i n1 exhaust, skunk2 intake manifold, ground control coilover sleeves, kyb gas shocks, 00 integra front end, and more to come
Yea the price is a bit high. Dont get me wrong that car is sex on wheels but you can get a 97 gs-r for under 8k maybe under 7k and get it to the same condition maybe for less if you play your cards right. But it is low milage on the engine so if you can talk him down on the price then maybe ide say go for it cuz it does seem like its been very well taken care of.
wow nice car but i wouldnt pay that much for it id offer 8,500 US it looks clean and all but all those performance parts and addons really dont have a say in the vaule.

If anything the performance parts will decrease the value of the car. Performance parts = beating on the car. this may not always be the case but a potential buyer may assume that this was the case thus lowering how much he is willing to spend. I have no clue what he did to this car while driving. But if he lets it go for 9grand us then ide say go for it cuz the front end alone is about 5g's worth of work alone.
Do a bluebook on the car and then add up the parts worth and only take 30% of that and add it to the blue book. I personally can't get myself to buy a 13000 RS with a GSR motor. I bought my GSR with 70K on it for 7000. He is asking to much in my book.

its defenately nice. my first thoughts were "A REAL TYPE R?" :eek ...no left hand drive with a conversion. second thought "US TYPE R WITH JDM CONVERSION?" :eek ...no, B18C1, gsr . so imo, i would not buy the car for the sole reason that its trying to be something its not. is verry nice lookin though i can see why youd be hung up on it.

It also only have 4 lugs type r has 5 ..would have fooled me if i seen it drive by tho
13k?? you could prilly find a turboed 01 gsr in great shape mechanicly and cosmeticly... i would pass on buying something non turbo for more than 7k....
especially a honda or acura.. there are going to be alot of people selling their cars come winter time and with 13k, you prolly could get something better
damn that thing looks good but i dont think i could pay that much i found a turbo type r for 12 at a dealership with only 71k orignial miles on it so it would be hard for me to look at that and spend my money
